SURF REPORT

Sunday 19/05/24

Surf: 2-4ft chest to head height.

Wind: moderate W tending SW

High Tide 8:13am - 1.25m

Low Tide: 1:20pm - 0.83m

Water Temp : 16 degrees

A slight decrease in swell from yesterday partnered with moderate cross-shore - onshore winds all day. It is fairly messy conditions today, but still plenty of fun to be had.

Smiths has some fun surprisingly clean peaks on offer and will be enjoyable for intermediate - advanced surfers across the middle of the day. Lower level crew will be best to get out there early or wait until the later afternoon and evening for some more playful waves.

The open beaches will again be pretty hard work with onshore winds and lots of currents, only for the keenest advanced surfers in search of a bit more size and some very grovely conditions.

The Cat Bay area will be the cleanest option with some fun waves on offer, and although apparently crowded, will be a good option.

Have a great weekend! :)
